2022 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance Annual Meeting

        The 2022 GBA-GFA Annual Meeting was held in Hong Kong on 22 September 2022. This event combined the 2022 (third) annual meeting of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance (GBA-GFA) and the 2022 (fifth) annual forum of Hong Kong Green Finance Association.  These annual meetings also mark the beginning of Hong Kong’s Presidency (2022-23) of GBA-GFA, following the Shenzhen Presidency (2021-22) and Guangdong Presidency (2020-21).  The annual meetings will present the key deliverables of the GBA-GFA in the past 12 months and discuss options for further integration of the GBA green finance market as well as enhancement of Hong Kong’s role as an international finance hub. 


The 2021 Annual Conference Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance (GBA-GFA) 

        To strengthen the exchanges and cooperation of green finance in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), “The 2021 Annual Conference Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance (GBA-GFA)" was held in Shenzhen on 17 September 2021.  The Annual Conference was co-hosted by GBA-GFA and Local Financial Regulatory Bureau of Shenzhen, and jointly organized by the Green Finance Committee of Financial Society of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SZGFC), the Shenzhen Green Finance Association, the Green Finance Committee of Guangdong Society for Finance and Banking (GDGFC), the Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA), The Macau Association of Banks (ABM), the China Emissions Exchange (Shenzhen), and the China Emissions Exchange (Guangzhou).  It is also co-organized by Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Shenzhen Branch.


        Nearly 200 participants, including leaders from the financial regulatory authorities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as experts and scholars of green finance, attended the Annual Conference.  During the Annual Conference, they shared their achievements and experience of green finance, discussed the opportunities and challenges of green finance regulatory cooperation, standard co-construction and mutual recognition, and green finance development in the four districts. Also, they jointly promote green finance cooperation and innovation practice in the Greater Bay Area.  The annual conference was simultaneously broadcasted by Sina Finance, Panorama.com and China Fund News and viewed by more than 360,000 people online.
